Anick Vorbe
Anick Vorbe is a 200 RYT certified yoga teacher living in Miami for the past 25 years.
She was born and raised in Haiti, originally from France, Lebanon, Italy. She inherited her passion for yoga through her grandfather’s daily practices, who was one of the very few and rare yogis from her home country, where yoga is not part of the cultural heritage there. He has been her very first inspiration toward the practice of yoga.
Upon her return to Haiti, after graduating from Simmons University in Boston, Mass holding a major in International Business and a minor in International Relations, Anick started practicing yoga with Madame Roumer, a stellar yoga instructor who soon became her
mentor.
In 1999, Anick decided to move permanently to Miami, where she also studied Fashion and Interior Design at the Miami International University of Arts and Design. In that new environment, Anick stepped again on her yoga mat; this time at the Green Monkey studio in
Miami Beach, where she met yoga instructors Ewa Josepsson and Paul Toliuszis whose practices highly resonated with her.
After suffering a loss in her family, Anick placed herself on a path toward wellbeing, and mindfulness through different modalities. She decided to deepen her yoga practice by getting her Teacher Training certification at the Mimi Yoga studio where she was already a very active member.
Mimi Yoga’s training has been unparallel and has equipped Anick with all the necessary tools, knowledge and even more. Through this 200 RYT training, Anick experienced a deeper and more meaningful shift inside, paired with a reverence toward the importance of community and service to others. Yoga revealed itself to be an expression of love and a prayer to not only herself but toward others too.
Anick is looking forward to sharing her vinyasa flow in which she weaves in inspirational messages and lets you discover who she is.
To have a yoga class with Anick, is not only about
a physical workout but also a spiritual and an inner voyage.
Her energy, presence and message resonates with so many and says it all.
